Back to Wellness Chiropractic specializes in CORRECTIVE WELLNESS CHIROPRACTIC CARE! Much like how we maintain our houses and cars or brush our teeth on a regular basis, our spines and nerve systems deserve maintenance too!

Chiropractic Care in St. Paul

After analyzing the x-rays of the spine, Dr. Kayla Zirpel-Proctor delivers structural based chiropractic adjustments. Many Back to Wellness practice members love Dr. Kayla's approach as it is specific to the individual. Some patients are a good fit for "health twist" adjustments, as Dr. Kayla calls them, but some prefer a more gentle type of adjustment such as the "drop table" or "activator" adjustment. If a person is worried about a particular style of adjustment, Dr. Kayla will gently walk it through with him or her.

Corrective Exercises

Restoring health is not a passive process but it is an "active" process. Practice members take an "active" role in their health through corrective spinal exercises. Daily basic neck and low back stretches are a must to get the most out of the chiropractic programs! Cervical (aka "neck") traction is also an important part of the plan to protect and correct the discs and ligaments of the neck. Dr. Kayla also may make other specific stretching and strengthening recommendations based on your individual case and circumstances.

Lifestyle Advice

Think of Dr. Kayla as your personal "wellness coach!" She strives to provide the latest in wellness research in all areas of life, ranging from stress reduction to healthy workplace strategies specific to your situation! Nutritional Counseling and Nutrition Response Testing ®

Not all foods are created equal and there is much misinformation about what is "healthy" out there. This St. Paul chiropractic office educates and empowers practice members to consume foods specific to building optimal health. We help patients to implement proper nutritional and detoxification strategies to create optimal performance. We also may discuss and evaluate which supplements and vitamins will be best in your unique case. Massage Therapy

Massage therapy is a great conservative treatment that can also enhance a person's well-being. It can help with pain relief, decreasing inflammation and swelling, and increasing range of motion. This type of therapy, if needed, is provided in conjunction with a chiropractic adjustment, as the misalignment to the spine is usually what caused the muscle spasms and knots in the first place. In fact, most practice members find that consistent chiropractic care provides the muscle balance and spasm reduction their bodies need.
